21st November 2009 - Merrell IceMan - Frimley
A great event and thanks again to HumanRace for allowing us to take part. Our participation in the event has caused a stir, with the introduction of Canicross into the series a whole new group of runners and cyclists have experienced Canicross at first hand, so much so that we appear on the front page of the website and also on the TRI247 website.

22nd November 2009 - Pineridge 10km - Wisley
Denise Croucher was lucky enough to get an entry into this event, the entries closed quite early due to the popularity of the event. If you look at the image page below you will see the wet conditions that the runners faced.

5th December 2009 - Merrell MudMan - Camberley
Race 2 in the series of 4 and a race that may not be equalled. Starting 5 minutes after the main group of runners, but with the dogs barking on the line, it wasnt going to be long before we caught up the runners. A ditch leap close to the start gave me the chance to run away from the doggy competition and I even managed to put distance between myself and Cushla. The route twisted and turned and at the same time managed to climb hills and drop down the hills several times, I believe it was actually the same hill but from many different approaches, each turn revealed a new slope of the hill and each had its own varying traction under foot, muddy, slippy, gravel, a different mud and of course a puddle or 2 at the bottom of most of the slopes. Sometimes you would pass within inches of the route in front of you but it was actually a few hundred metres and a hill in front. The clever dogs were trying to take the short cut, but sorry kids you have to run the hill first. The last twist in the tale was when as you were getting close to the finish and you could see your car, the spectators, your supporters and the finish, the course turns off and there follows a 1.5km loop that brings you to the finish, that you just passed.
Look for the following names and numbers - Simon Lamen 115, Cushla Lamen - 282, Chris Shave - 142, Wendy O'Brien - 276.
